Yes it's 2010 already! We've had our time to rest and enjoy the holidays and our families. Now it's time to get back to more fun and exciting things here at the North Baldwin Literacy Council. We have a lot of great events planned for you this year so please come and stay tuned to what's happening here in Bay Minette and throughout the Northern Baldwin County area.
First thing to start off the year with is our Big Read event. Check the In the Works area of the Events Menu for more information about this event as well as our Stay at Home Tea which is a great opportunity to help support us which aids to support your community members. Your donations for this event help many members in the area as they learn to break that pattern of illiteracy, becoming more satisfied, knowledgable and productive for themselves and their families. Join us for a Cup of Tea today!

As you can all see we have updated much of the site! There are many new graphics, sections, and the events are now categorized for "hopefully" an easier way for you to check them out. Many of the pages have been revamped and reworked to clean up the code and make it as smooth to navigate as possible. Tweaks here and there will be in progress, but the bulk of the site has been finished.
We at NBLC hope you find the site informational, helpful and resourceful as we add new resources and places of interest when we find them. Our goal on the site, of course, is to keep it as easy to get around and find what you need as can be had. We hope we have achieved that goal.

We have a brand new graphical banner which I hope everyone likes, it makes the name of the NBLC stand out a little nicer and gives it a little more depth.
More content has been added to a few of the pages, and many small tweaks have been done over the past few days to get positioning and content to show up just right. I think the tweaking is getting to the end now so we can concentrate more on filling it in more.
More of the pages have been worked on than you can see at the moment as we await some more information to fill them out a bit more before making them live so you'll have to put up with the place holder Latin for a little longer.
we will pretty it up a little more with some more graphical content to give it a Literacy look :)

North Baldwin Literacy Council is getting a web presense! That's right, we're now online for your information and use to find more information about us right at your fingertips. We hope you will find this new site useful and that it makes it easier for you to reach us as well as keep up to date with things we are working on.
We'll try to keep you informed here on the news page for new items, articles, events or anything else we find newsworthy about the site, the NBLC itself, or the area of North Baldwin County in general that relates to us. Please check back and stay up to date right here!
